Stonewall Humanitarian Awards

On Thursday, June 13 from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, come support the Transgender Community at the Stonewall Humanitarian Awards, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots with advocacy, education, entertainment and leadership. Funds go directly to the Transgender Health and Wellness Center, providing the Transgender diverse community a safe space to find employment, food and clothing assistance, education, legal assistance and over 42 different services.

ShortFest Sneak Peek Community Screening

On Wednesday, June 12 from 7:00–9:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, Join the Palm Springs International ShortFest for their free public program: Sneak Peek Community Screening. Change It Up at The Center

The LGBT Community Center of The Desert presents Change it Up on Tuesday, June 11 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. This monthly interactive discussion group for queer men focuses on topics to improve your quality of life. A combination of psycho-educational presentations are paired with a process group. This will also be a positive opportunity for social engagement and community building for participants. Instructor Brent Heinze has been a therapist for 13 years with an emphasis on working with non-traditional relationships and gay men. More info

KGAY 106.5 Fundraiser for Qchella Media

DJ Galaxy and Anita Treadmill are doing a fundraiser on Friday, June 14 from 8:00–11:00 p.m. at Trunks Bar in Cathedral City to keep the music going here in the valley on KGAY 106.5, part of Qchella Media, a 501(C)3 non-profit organization. So the divas from Trunks Bar will perform for tips to donate to the cause. There will also be jello shots and a 50/50 raffle so you can come out and support Qchella Media and meet the staff! Gay Wine Weekend is a celebration of food, wine & the ambience of Northern California’s Wine Country for the LGBTQ Community, taking place July 18–21 in the Sonoma Valley. Events include winemaker dinners, wine tastings, drag queen brunch & wine auction, a pool party, after parties and the signature event of the weekend, Twilight T-Dance at Chateau St. Jean Winery.
