TGMondays is Now Every Monday!
TGMondays is now bigger and better, taking place every Monday of the month, from 6:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. at the Transgender Health and Wellness Center on Date Palm Drive in Cathedral City. The first Monday of the month will feature a Trans-feminine Support Group, the second Monday is a Pot luck dinner, Bingo Night with prizes on the third Monday, and Trans-masculine Support Group on the fourth Monday of the month. Here, you will learn about the many services that these outlets help to provide to people with developmental and physical challenges — and have since 1954. 9 Cities Challenge Blood Drive
The 2018 Nine Cities Blood Drive Challenge is on! Coachella Valley communities are going head-to-head to collect the most LifeStream blood donations to assist local hospital patients. All donors receive a ticket voucher to Wet 'n' Wild Palm Springs and a coupon for four free Jack in the Box tacos. Each person who donates blood also receives a red #9CitiesChallenge wristband. Take a photo wearing the wristband and share it on social media – and challenge family, friends, co-workers and organizations to donate! More info
L-Fund Announces new Executive Director
Barbara Carpenter has served as the President of the L-Fund Board for the last three years and under her leadership, the L-Fund has developed from a small grassroots organization to a federally recognized 501(C(3). Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays meets the third Sunday of every month from 2:30–4:30 p.m. at the Cathedral City Public Library. Each month they have a topic for discussion, and always provide support for families of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, questioning persons, and serve as a safe place for GLBTQI persons seeking validation. Mountains of Men & Mischief are in store at Big Bear ROMP 2018, from Thursday, Aug 16–Sunday, Aug 19. The goal of Big Bear ROMP is to keep the party going by putting on a fun event that will bring hundreds of men back each year for mischief and more in the great outdoors. Beyond having a great time, Big Bear ROMP is about giving back to the Big Bear community, and a portion of the pass sales will support a local wildlife rescue organization. More info
