Craft Cocktail Week is Underway

The Fourth Annual Palm Springs Craft Cocktail Week, a production of the Coachella Valley Independent, is taking place now through Saturday, February 8 at various bars and restaurants in the valley. The week includes the Craft Cocktail Championship, at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5 at Moxie Palm Springs. Tickets for this sell out, so get yours ASAP! The LGBT Community Center of the Desert presents Suicide SafeTALK on Tuesday, February 4 from 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Learn four basic steps to recognize persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them with suicide helping resources. Most people with thoughts of suicide invite help. Often these opportunities are missed, dismissed or avoided, leaving people more alone and at greater risk. safeTALK training prepares you to help. Palm Springs Speaks: Tembi Locke

Actor, author, and caregiving advocate Tembi Locke will speak on Wednesday, February 5 from 11:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, as part of the Palm Springs Speaks series. Among Friends: Moulin Rouge Singalong

Among Friends presents the next in their Singalong Series, “Moulin Rouge,” starting with a cocktail party at 6:00 p.m. following by a screening of the film musical sensation starring Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor starting at 7:30 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. The Palm Desert Half Marathon & 5K returns on Sunday, February 9 from 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. at the Palm Desert Civic Center.
