Peepa's to Open in Downtown Palm Springs

A new lifestyle shopping experience is opening its doors at 108 S. Indian Canyon Drive. Peepa's will feature collections in home decor, art, apparel, candles, books, greeting cards, and more. Officially opening is Oct. 19, but you can get an early preview with their soft opening on Friday, August 31. More info

Aging Positively Conference

On Tuesday, September 18 from 10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m, Aging Positively, the annual Coachella Valley conference aimed at providing practical information as well as inspiration for those aging with HIV, will explore housing, sexual health and dating, and employment strategies. And this year, The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR) co-founder Dr. Michael Gottlieb will provide the keynote address. Gay Desert Guide's Brad Fuhr will serve as moderator. Safari Nights Return to the Living Desert

Safari Nights return to The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens every Friday night in September when the park is open after dark, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Explore The Living Desert under the light of the moon and see many of the zoo’s favorite animals. Special offerings include an astronomy station, Nocturnal Safari Tram, and live entertainment by Vintage Vibe, plus food, beverages and specialty cocktails will be available for purchase throughout the park.
