Honorees Announced for 2018 Pride Honors Awards
Greater Palm Springs Pride announced today the recipients of its 2018 Pride Honors Awards. Honorees include seven Palm Springs residents & a community organization. The prestigious Pride Honors are presented annually to individuals to recognize their efforts in raising awareness and furthering the causes of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals and their allies. Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus Auditions
Leading into its 20th Season, the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus (PSGMC) will be holding open call auditions. The Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus will hold its semi-annual auditions on Tuesday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m. Candidates can attend open rehearsals on Tuesday, August 21 at 7:00 p.m. to get a sense of how the chorus is structured and the camaraderie that exists between all of the singers. Yappy Hour at the Westin Mission Hills
On Friday, August 24 from 4:00–6:00 p.m., the Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort & Spa is hosting a Yappy Hour Celebration in honor of their 3rd adopted dog reunion. This special event celebrates the hotel’s partnership with Animal Samaritans animal shelter and the successful adoption of 120 dogs. All dogs and their owners are invited to attend, with doggie-VIP status granted to those who were adopted through the Adopt-a-Pet program. Guests will enjoy food, drinks, speeches and a special screening of The Secret Life of Pets. Drink specials for 2-legged guests include the Salty Dog, the Frisky Chihuahua, or the Pit Bull. 4-legged guests will receive house made dog treats. More info
