About the time my parents were born, the City of Palm Springs came into existence. And like my parents, it has aged gracefully – but not without some hard knocks over the decades.
This weekend, we celebrate the city’s 85th birthday with fun and festivities including a parade of autos from each year. And seeing the changes in automobiles over 85 years will give you some sense of how the world has changed. Not only has design esthetics changed, but “auto infrastructure” has made tremendous leaps and bounds. One thing that has been a constant in cars since 1938 is a radio. So it’s only fitting that our KGAY 106.5 morning host John Taylor ride in the parade on Saturday. He’ll be on both AM (1270) and FM 106.5, and streaming on I Heart Radio.
