Pop Up Palm Springs

On Tuesday, April 16 businesses in downtown and uptown Palm Springs and all around town will be creating their own Pop Up Events throughout the day. These will include fashion shows, giveaways, guest artists, demonstrations, live music, special sales, guest vendors, wine dinners, food tastings and more. Each business will also have a passport and stickers to fill out your passport. If you visit three or more businesses, drop off the passport at any one of the locations to be entered for a prize. White Party Wednesday at Wang’s

Join KGAY 106.5 at Wang’s in the Desert this Wednesday, April 17 at 7:00 p.m. for a chance to win White Party passes for the Sunday T-Dance (April 28). DJ Galaxy (who spins for KGAY’s Retro Lunch Show) will be on hand, plus Logan Walker performing a show-stopper evening with Judy Garland and Liza Minelli. Geoff Kors Town Hall Meeting

Join Palm Springs Mayor pro tem Geoff Kors for a community meeting on Saturday, April 20 from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m. at Mizell Senior Center. Kors will discuss the future of the city and issues that impact District 3, including sustainability, homelessness & affordable housing, public safety, neighborhoods & parks, and diversity and inclusion. Participants will divide into break-out groups with each person selecting the group they are most interested in, with the opportunity to share and discuss your ideas. More info

Coachella Weekend 2

The second of two weekends of the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival is Friday, April 12 through Sunday, April 14, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. Featured artists include Janelle Monáe, Childish Gambino, Tame Impala, and Ariana Grande. Not to mention the much-anticipated Easter Sunday Service led by Kanye West. Pageant: The Musical

The Desert Rose Playhouse presents Pageant: The Musical, from April 19 through May 12. This side-splitting look at a beauty pageant in drag is a funny, wacky and ultimately endearing musical about the trials and tribulations of six contestants vying for the title of Miss Glamouresse. You’ll laugh and cheer as Miss West Coast, Miss Great Plains, Miss Industrial Northeast, Miss Bible Belt, Miss Texas and Miss Deep South (all in drag, of course) do their best to sing, dance and claw their way to the tiara.
