- The United Methodist Church of Palm Springs hosts Turning of the Year: A Show of Hope, A Benefit for the Desert AIDS Project.
- On Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at 6:00 pm (PST) via Zoom ID 861 1441 0781, https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86114410781 and FB https://fb.me/e/cApui0930 performers from Broadway and the best of Palm Springs will unite for an hour-long pro- gram to reflect, heal and hope on the turning of the year. An online donation of any amount will benefit the Desert AIDS Project.
- 2020 was an unprecedented and especially difficult year in so many ways, and the tran- sition from 2020 to 2021 is one that deserves extra attention. Through a variety of artis- tic avenues and inspiring performances, Turning of the Year: A Show of Hope, invites viewers on a unique journey that encompasses reflection, healing and hope.
- Scheduled to perform are Karen Mason, actor, singer and cabaret star who has thrilled audiences on Broadway as well as the Coachella Valley; “Two Close for Comfort” star Jim J. Bullock; Keisha D, popular chanteuse of The Purple Room among others; comedy duo and creators of the award winning gay web series “Where The Bears Are” Ben Zook and Joe Dietl; vocalist Jerome Elliott; piano entertainer Ron Pass; the Modern Men, Coachella Valley Men’s Chorus; students of David Green’s Musical Theater University; the Palm Springs Dance Project; Celtic harpist Charles Peery; yoga instructor Kristin Olson; Dan the Mixologist and more!
