Tinseltown's Queer

Event Details

Be part of Queer Media History (at the Palm Springs Cultural Center, Friday, April 28th) as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the taping of the first episode of Nicholas Snow’s groundbreaking public access television show, Tinseltown’s Queer, which reached up to 600,000 households on a regular basis on four different cable systems in the Los Angeles metropolitan area throughout most of the 1990’s. The evening will feature iconic archival interviews with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars and with giants in the LGBTQ+ Civil Rights Movement. Snow, most known now as the creator, producer and host of PromoHomo.TV©, an online television network streamed across multiple social media platforms, will showcase clips from recent years as well, to offer a retrospective spanning three of his four decades (he came out in 1983) of activism.
