PALS (Planning Ahead for LGBTQ Seniors) presents The Care and To-do's Before and After
Your Expiration Date - Part 1: Caring for the Dying on April 15, 2023 via Zoom.
PALS no-cost seminars present up-to-date information, resources and opportunities both for learning and engaging in essential "planning ahead" conversations before a health crisis or other life-altering situation arises.
There is no time of life so profound as dying, and no time of life so perplexing. This seminar will take a look at being with and caring for a loved one who is near death.  We will discuss the collaboration among three services: hospice, home caregivers, and death doula by a panel of three representatives, one from each service. While some people say they will die quickly, there are others who say this time of dying is a precious opportunity for the expression of love and resolution. Join us on April 15.
Featured panelists:
- Harrison George, MSN, RN, PHN, / Quality Manager, Family Hospice Care
- Monique Hector, / Owner, Home Sweet Home, Homecare Services
- Glendon Geikie, MSW, / Certified End of Life Doula, Certified Grief Educator
