Event Details

GO GREEN Sustainable Film Series is a program of the Certified Farmers’ Markets of the Coachella Valley in collaboration with the city of Palm Springs to bring a wider audience to independent films with topics related to health, agriculture and sustainable living. Each event is paired with wine tasting, a unique activity, and discussion.

Film Screenings are FREE. Suggested Donation $10 for wine tasting/ activity.

The films that will be shown are:

Mar 21st – The Theater of Life  

An extraordinary soup kitchen in Milan – the Refettorio Ambrosiano – run by internationally renowned chef Massimo Bottura. All food served was made from the food waste of Expo Milano 2015.

April 25th – The Serengeti Rules

Beginning in the 1960s, a small band of young scientists headed out into the wilderness, driven by an insatiable curiosity about how nature works. Immersed in some of the most remote and spectacular places on Earth they discovered a single set of rules that govern all life.

May 30th – The Need to Grow

With only 60 years of farmable soil left on Earth, “The Need To GROW” offers an intimate look into the hearts of activists and innovators in the food movement.
