The Band will present a special and unique matinee concert featuring outstanding soloists and ensembles.
The Concert Band will accompany pianist and band member Dr. Randall Creighton on the popular and challenging Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto #2, first movement. Sherri has been playing flute for 30 years. She studied flute performance at Ithaca College, and then moved to New York City where she played with the Brooklyn Winds Symphony and the New York Symphonic Arts Ensemble.
The concert will also include The Swan from the Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saens which will be performed by band member Michael Adams on bass clarinet, and Chip Prince on piano. A clarinet choir will perform Carl Bohm's Quartet in F. The concert will also include a brass choir and a few other other soloists and small ensembles.
