Much of human anxiety surrounding death has to do with legacy and being remembered.  But since planning ahead for your final send-off enables you to put your stamp on this world in one last way, why be boxed in by traditional funeral arrangements?  Especially since they involve wasting precious resources, adding toxic chemicals to the environment and subjecting friends and loved ones to somber formalities and unfamiliar religious traditions that don't reflect or represent how you actually lived your life!
