Let's Play Hookey for the COD Foundation

Let’s Play Hooky for COD Foundation will start at 10am Friday, November 18. Wardrobe stylist Robyn Howard will host a complimentary “Fashion School” highlighting the Season’s Must Have Fashions from many of the participating stores at Hotel Paseo’s Larkspur restaurant. Throughout the day, shoppers will find informal modeling, trunk shows, tablescape demonstrations, champagne, and nibbles. Shoppers will want to fill up their “report card” for a chance to win a $500 Shopping Spree on El Paseo. (Cards can be picked-up and dropped off at any of the participating stores.)  

It's a win-win for both shoppers and the Valley community, 15% of sales from participating retailers in the El Paseo Shopping District will directly benefit the Fund for Student Success. As the pandemic changed the world, many COD students suffered financially, losing their jobs, housing, and financial security. They faced the harsh reality of choosing their education or paying for utilities, rent, gas, or groceries. The Fund was activated in 2020 allocating more than $400,000 to nearly 500 students helping them make ends meet during the crisis.  

Now two years later, the Coachella Valley is desperate for workers while students are navigating multiple jobs and battle inflation as they struggle to regain years of lost revenue. Donations are now essential in order to replenish the Fund for Student Success and continue supporting students in need.
