Jigsaw Puzzle Palooza

Mizell Center invites all jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts to join in the Coachella Valley's first speed jigsaw puzzle competition on Saturday, April 23.

At 10 am Expert Teams of two will compete head against the clock to complete a 500 piece puzzle for fun and prizes. All teams work to complete the same puzzle in a two hour time period. If no team completes the puzzle in the time, the team with the least number of puzzle pieces remaining wins. Second and third place prizes will also be awarded. Expert Team of two registration is $20.

Open Teams of four will piece a different puzzle from 12:30 to 2:30 pm under the same rules. Teams of four registration is $40.

Solo puzzlers can register for $10 and will be assigned to a team of four. Solo puzzlers will be connected with their team the week of April 18 to create strategy or just get to know one another.

Registration for the speed puzzling events closes on April 8, 2022, at 11:59 pm.

Not a puzzler? How about the Paint-A-Puzzle contest? Visit Mizell Center Monday - Friday 8 am to 4 pm to purchase an 8"x10" white puzzle (already completed) to use as a canvas or as part of a sculpture. Completed artwork must be submitted by Wednesday, April 6, 2022. Public voting will be held April 11 - 22, 2022. The winners will be announced on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11:30 am between the two speed puzzle session.

Please bring proof of vaccination to gain entry to Mizell Center. Masks are optional, but recommended.
