Diversity and Racial Equity Conference

The DRE team of the Palm Springs Unified School District is pleased to announce its second annual Diversity and Racial Equity Conference. It kicks off at 9 a.m. at the Palm Springs Convention Center and runs until 3 p.m. and includes a light breakfast and plated lunch.This event will take place on Saturday, September 30th from 9:00am to 2:00pm. This year's theme is "Racial Healing and Resilience."

A panel of seven students and a keynote speaker, Diana Ceja with the Riverside County Office of Education, will speak on this year’s theme — racial healing and resilience. There will also be several breakout sessions.

"The conference is important because there is still a lot of work to be done in regard to racism, discrimination, and bigotry," said Dr. Nicole Crawford, the district's coordinator of diversity and racial equity.
