Communities' Finest Dance Showcase

The Palm Springs Dance Project, in collaboration with the Palm Springs Cultural Center, presents the 2023 Communities’ Finest Dance Showcase, an evening of live dance with a diverse range of groups and dance styles. It is a family-friendly presentation that invites the entire community to join in this extraordinary experience!

Yes! You found it! This is the “don't miss this community program of the year!” community program! An inspired collaboration between the Palm Springs Dance Project and the Palm Springs Cultural Center. We bring you a vibrant and diverse hybrid; a live and multi-media dance showcase filled with joy, passion, skill and fascinating cultural and contemporary community dance groups along with beguiling projections and special program features to capture your imagination.

This event welcomes our entire, diverse community to join together in celebration of dance, and offers some very retro ticket prices to lure you in! We invite you, your family, friends and/or your special interest group; or come alone and become part of the uplifting community scene! The more, the merrier!

Featuring the incredible Cat Lyn Day as Marilyn Monroe, absorbing and emotion filled dance from a variety of cultures and styles including Hawaiian, Irish, Folklorico, Salsa, Contemporary Ballet, Modern and more live dance! To heighten the fun element, we’ve added immersive and interactive elements and fun film clips interspersed through-out, including an excerpt from our last season’s dance film production “The Anniversary”!

Dance is the joy of movement, the freedom of expression and the heart of life! The celebration of desert and surrounding region’s finest dance is on May 20 at 5:00pm at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. This performance is unlike any other, you will experience Belly Dancing to Ballet, Hawaiian to Hip-hop, Musical Theater to Persian dance, with youth and adult performances, and a show woven together will creative projections and film clips, included snippets from last year’s community dance film project “The Anniversary”.

TICKETS: $15 Adults, $8 Youth, with Children 6 and under FREE! Available at palmspringsdance.org.  Proceeds, in part, help support furthering the development of local youth and community dance and music programs.
