Brunch on the Page

The Palm Springs Public Library Foundation is excited to present "Brunch on the Page" a fundraising event featuring authors Steven Rowley and Byron Lane on Saturday, April 1, 2023.

Please join our sponsors Carol Tallichet, Dr. Elizabeth Smalley and Garth Gilpin, Gretchen Cotter, Terry Dean and Norm King at Brunch on the Page. Your ticket includes attendance at a private home in Palm Springs, a brunch buffet, copies of the authors books, and the authors presentation. Proceeds will benefit the Library Foundation in support of the Palm Springs Public Library.

Steven Rowley is the bestselling author of Lily and the Octopus, a Washington Post Notable Book of 2016, The Editor, named by NPR and Esquire Magazine as one of the Best Books of 2019, and The Guncle, a Goodreads Choice Awards finalist for 2021 Novel of the Year and semi-finalist for The Thurber Prize in American Humor. His fiction has been published in twenty languages. His forthcoming novel, The Celebrants, arrives in May 2023. Rowley lives in Palm Springs with his husband, the writer Byron Lane.

Byron Lane is an author, playwright, and screenwriter. His latest novel, Big Gay Wedding, is about a family and town forever changed by a gay marriage. His debut novel, A Star is Bored, is inspired by his time as assistant to actress Carrie Fisher and hailed by The New York Times Book Review as "wildly funny." He’s an Emmy Award-winning former journalist and lives in Palm Springs with his husband, author Steven Rowley, and their rescue dogs, Raindrop and Shirley.

Valet parking will be available, but rideshare services UBER or LYFT are recommended. The address will be provided upon purchase.
