As I Knew Him: My Dad, Rod Serling

Tickets are now selling for a rare presentation and discussion with Anne Serling, younger daughter of celebrated television writer, Rod Serling. Her informative and entertaining 90-minute program will be part of February 2022 Modernism Week in Palm Springs.

Anne will bring with her clips from Twilight Zone as well excerpts from her dad’s other projects before and after that show. She’ll discuss his life, his legacy, and the morality that fueled his best work. She’ll share his warmth, his humor, and the unexpected quirks that contrast with his on-screen persona. Home movies and personal photos will deepen appreciation of Rod Serling as a writer, a father, and a humanist.

For his last 10 years, Rod Serling taught television writing at Ithaca College in upstate New York. This program’s host, Eric Chiel, was among his students.

Anne Serling will sign her book, "As I Knew Him: My Dad, Rod Serling," following the presentation.
