  • Palm Springs Art Museum is excited to announce that Art Auction ’21 will open online on Friday, April 9, 2021 and culminate on Friday, April 16!

  • Proceeds from this online event will provide vital funding to mount our exhibitions and educational programs, as well as to care for our world-class collection of 12,000 artworks and 50,000 objects in our special collections.

  • The auction will include an array of artworks by today’s most notable artists from around the region, across the country, and internationally. Approximately 40 artworks that range in value from $5,000 to $100,000 will be made available that will appeal to a broad range of collectors.

  • For this year’s online auction, we are delighted to partner with Sotheby’s. This collaboration will ensure that your sponsorship of Palm Springs Art Museum will be visible to a wide and well-qualified audience of art collectors who will be able to view the offerings online at Sothebys.com.

  • The museum recognizes the worldwide impact of COVID on artists and their practice. With this in mind, the museum is offering participating artists up to 50% of the hammer price on the sale of their work. Your sponsorship helps us make this possible.
  •   Participation in the auction is free and instructions on how to register will be shared at a later date. To promote these offerings, we will invite various artists to share a virtual glimpse inside their studios and provide all potential bidders with virtual talks about these exciting works, free of charge.
