American Sign Language for Beginners (ASL-1)

This 8-week course is designed for students with no previous experience in American Sign Language.  Through easy-to-understand instruction, fun, interactive games, and an equal focus on both expressive and receptive skills, students will learn the basics of ASL, including fingerspelling and many frequently used signs that will assist them in communicating with the deaf and hard of hearing.

Jason began his study of ASL at the LGBTQ Community Center of the Desert in 2018 under the instruction of Itai Cardona.  He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and is a writer, actor, director, singer, and karate instructor who enjoys helping students learn new skills.

 Cost is $80.00 for Members / $100 for non-Members

Weekly on Saturdays 10:00 to 11:30 am (8 weeks from January 21 to March 11, 2023) | 8-weeks
