  • The LGBT Community Center of The Desert presents Acrylic Painting
  • Mondays, February 3 thru March 2, 2020 (5 weeks)
  • This class is intended to teach techniques in painting with acrylic paint where each individual will do their own work allowing themselves to express what they like to within the limits of a canvas.
  • Please see website for list of required supplies.
  • About the instructor:  Born in Cuba, Juan-Manuel grew up and spent a large portion of his life in New York City. Following graduation from CCNY and The Fashion Institute of Technology and while working as a designer in the fashion industry he taught design at F.I.T. New York, Miami Dade College, Fine Arts College, Design and Architecture, Florida, and F.I.D.M, San Francisco.
  • Continuing his art, he is Artist in Residence for the Unified School District of Palm Springs, teaches acrylic painting at the Mizell Senior Center, mentors students at Palm Springs High School, and volunteers for Desert AIDS Project. He is also the Founder of "Art on the Streets".
  • Cost:  Members: $10.00/class | Non-Members: $15.00/class
