A Night on Broadway

Join the Desert Winds Freedom Band as we kick-off our 20th anniversary season, Saturday, November 20th for an evening of great Broadway music. There’s something for everyone! The Symphonic Band will be performing music from "Wicked", "Phantom of the Opera", "Jekyll and Hyde”, “Moulin Rouge:, "West  Side Story", "Les Miserables", "Hamilton", " The Prince of Egypt", and "Frozen" . The Jazz band will also be performing, “All that Jazz” From “Chicago”, “Big Spender” from Sweet Charity, “the Lullaby of Broadway” from 42nd Street and more.
 
We are thrilled to feature once again baritone soloist and crooner Todd Murray from LA. Todd has sung internationally, toured with Broadway shows, performed at Jazz at Lincoln Center and for Viking Cruise Lines.  Also joining the band will be Soprano Laurel Bollard. Laurel is from right here in the desert, a former Desert Winds Scholarship winner from Shadow Hills High School and just graduated with a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from California State University Fullerton. She has won numerous accolades including a best actress nomination for the Jimmy Awards at the Minskoff Theater in NYC and is currently performing in several local theater companies in Southern California.

The City of Palm Springs also requires audience members to wear masks during the performance.
