Free, self-guided tour of 100 Coachella Valley artist and studios

March 12 & 13 and 19 & 20, 2022

The Coachella Valley is home to MANY wonderful artists, and our free, public tour will showcase this creative community! Included in this year’s tour over 100 artists who have chosen to have their studios open. You are invited to tour their studios, meet the artists, and see their creations.

A wide range of artistic practices are on view during the two weekends, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, ceramics, jewelry, glass and fiber arts.

You can travel from Indio in the east through La Quinta, Bermuda Dunes, Palm Desert, Rancho Mirage, Cathedral City, Palm Springs & finally Desert Hot Springs in the west. You choose the artists and the places you want to visit by region or by style of art. The route is up to you!

Visitors design a customized tour with interactive maps and themed routes provided by the organizers. The tour is a unique way for the public to interact with artists, observe their processes, purchase artwork, participate in demonstrations and explore spaces usually not open to outsiders. It also provides visitors with links to local businesses. We even offer a list of lunch stops, shops and galleries near each studio.

Coachella Valley Art Center, a non-profit in Indio, hosts our sampler exhibition. It includes works of art by participating studios and creates an environment where you can visually plan your tour based on works you love.
