Desert Cancer Foundation invites the public to attend “Art & Automobiles,” hosted by Cambria Gallery and Renova Solar, from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 31. The event will showcase fine art and automobiles both inside and outside of the Cambria Gallery on Cook Street in Palm Desert. The featured artist is Andreas Somogyi of 7 Sixty Automotive Group, while the notable “Pinstripe Chris” will be painting live. The event is open to the public with donations in any amount requested.
The event will be catered by Il Corso serving appetizers, along with a variety of wines and local craft beers available. There will be a live and silent auction, including a recently completed painting donated by Somogyi. His passion is building custom cars and creating large scale automotive racing paintings and metal sculptures. His work captures bold design, curvaceous lines, and streamlined looks.
Chris Dunlop, aka “Pinstripe Chris,” is an automotive design and render artist. He started out as an automotive painter that specialized in custom paint and high end restoration work on classic and exotic cars. From there he began airbrushing, doing sharpie art, and pinstriping. His work showcases custom cars, hot rods, and exotics.
As a national company, Cambria Gallery supports a multitude of organizations across North America. With this event all proceeds raised from the event will go to Desert Cancer Foundation to help Coachella Valley residents who are uninsured or underinsured to obtain screenings, diagnosis and treatment for cancer as well as allied diseases.
