The Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism has collaborated with artist Eric Bach to create a new mural installed at the Palm Springs Visitor Center. The colorful graphic in hues of orange, green and blue depict iconic scenes of Palm Springs, including midcentury architecture, the Palm Springs Aerial Tram, iconic windmills, and the Marilyn Monroe statue, just to name a few. The title “Greetings from Palm Springs” creates an Instagram moment for visitors to capture a memory in Palm Springs and share with friends and family.
Eric Bach, a Maryland based artist, has been creating images since childhood and has continued exploring line and form through his work as an illustrator and digital media designer. Through playful linework, Eric’s art finds the relationships between organic and geometric shapes and creates harmony within scattered iconography.
The Palm Springs Visitor Center is located at 2901 North Palm Canyon Drive. The soaring roof of Albert Frey’s Tramway gas station is a Palm Springs landmark and Class 1 Historical site. The iconic building welcomes visitors from all over the world. Come create your own Instagram moment at the new “Greetings from Palm Springs” mural, located on the annex building just behind the main Visitor Center building.
